Dr Glenn Singleman and Heather Swan are world-record-holding Australian adventurers, wingsuit pilots, climbers, filmmakers, authors and international speakers.
For more than three decades, their expeditions have taken them from the world’s highest mountains to its oldest deserts. Together, they have explored the limits of human performance—and the power of courage, intelligent preparation and purposeful adventure to transform a life.

A Lifetime of Adventure
Glenn and Heather are recipients of Australian Geographic’s Lifetime of Adventure Award, the organisation’s highest honour. Their achievements have also been featured three times on 60 Minutes, twice on Australian Story, and in documentaries and media stories around the world.

An Adventure Partnership
The BASEClimb story began in 1992, when Glenn Singleman and Nic Feteris climbed Pakistan’s Great Trango Tower and made a world-record BASE jump from more than 6,000 metres. Their expedition helped pioneer the sport now known as BASE climbing or para-alpinism.
Glenn’s award-winning documentary BASEClimb inspired thousands of people—including Heather, then a corporate executive with no background in adventure.
Heather’s decision to confront her fear of heights began an extraordinary transformation. She progressed from her first skydive to becoming a high-performance wingsuit pilot, Himalayan climber and world-record-holding adventurer.
Together, Glenn and Heather have climbed and BASE jumped from Himalayan summits, flown wingsuits across the Grand Canyon and over some of Australia’s most iconic landscapes, and participated in pioneering expeditions from Antarctica to the deep ocean.

Dr Glenn Singleman
Glenn is a medical practitioner, expedition doctor, professional adventurer and award-winning documentary filmmaker. The holder of three officially recognised world records, he has worked on expeditions ranging from Himalayan climbing and Antarctic exploration to James Cameron’s historic dive to Challenger Deep.
A Fellow of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine, Glenn has extensive experience in emergency, expedition, rural and remote medicine. He is Deputy Director of the Wodonga Emergency Department. More About Glenn
Heather Swan
Heather is an adventurer, author, photographer and international speaker whose journey from anxious corporate executive to world-record-holding wingsuit pilot has inspired people around the world.
She became the first woman to combine high-altitude mountaineering with wingsuit BASE jumping and has completed pioneering flights from Mount Meru, across the Grand Canyon and over Sydney Harbour, Antarctica and Kati Thanda–Lake Eyre.
Heather is an Australian Geographic Women in Adventure Ambassador and the author of Defying Gravity Defying Fear, No Ceiling and Love Flying.
